For this story, I was able to report about a Bridgerton themed event in Baton Rouge. I remember this being the first story that was published through the Reveille that I was truly proud of. Since then the comparison of my writing from then to now has come a long way.

I love writing feature stories and because I love meeting people in my community. Crafted Nibbles is a business rooted in love and I was proud to highlight them for my story.

The pitch for this story started off as genuine curiosity. I had no clue where or how the newspaper that printed out my stories biweekly were created. This is truly a moment that made me think about how so many factors go into what I do on a daily basis. My stories went beyond the words that I typed on my computer.

This story was for coverage of an event that I didn't really think I'd enjoy. I am not a big science person, but I took a chance and I'm so proud that I did. This story allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and show me how to report on things that I may not have much knowledge on. I genuinely loved this play and everything that it taught me.

Leroy of Leroy's Lipsmack'n Lemonade is truly an inspiration for following your dreams. To go from a small lemonade stand to selling at Tiger Stadium is a huge achievement and I loved getting the chance to share their story.

This is my favorite story to date. I thought it was such an interest dynamic and the event was a blast. Stories like this are why I love being a journalist. This story allowed me to share with the community something that was fun but also comforting for people who needed it.
